MARK STINSON'S CONCLUSIONS

Let's get the big question and answer out of the way immediately, as usual. From a professional and scientific standpoint, can I assert that during our on-site investigation we found proof-positive of paranormal activity at the Belton Cemetery? My answer would be, "No." In writing the investigation report, I've already offered my analysis of much of the specific evidence we gathered. So I'm going to take a more "generalized" approach in this summary.

While some interesting historical figures are buried at the cemetery, we have not heard nor seen any evidence or stories that lead us to believe the Belton Cemetery has a paranormal history. Besides some reportedly strange photos and EVPs gathered by another paranormal investigation group, we really have no other paranormal background on which to go. The light and noise pollution in the cemetery from the surrounding area makes gathering conclusive evidence almost impossible.

We appreciate being asked along by the other paranormal investigation group and enjoyed getting to know them. But without history, evidence, or any unusual personal experiences to go on...there is nothing about the Belton Cemetery that suggests to me that paranormal activity is taking place there.

STEWART BLACKWELL'S CONCLUSIONS

This was an investigation that I was really looking forward to doing. Not because of the history of paranormal activity at this cemetery. Actually, out of all the people I talked to, I wasn’t able to find any strange or even interesting paranormal story about the cemetery. The reason I was looking forward to it was because this was the first investigation I was attending with the Ghost Vigil group. I also live in Belton’s close neighbor Raymore and it was nice to be so close to home.

I learned many things on this investigation. The first is that it is very hard to do EVP work outside. There was so much background noise from traffic to kids yelling that it contaminated almost every recording we may have gotten. It is also not fun to be outside at night when it’s freezing cold. Pretty much the only eventful point of the evening was the trip to the local Quick Trip for a hot Cappuccino. Yea I am a guy and I drink Cappuccino, SO WHAT!!

So to make a long story short, we found no evidence of any paranormal activity at the Belton Cemetery. Of course maybe ghosts are more intelligent than we are and know when it to cold to be outside.
