STRAWBERRY HILL MUSEUM - OUR CONCLUSIONS

Now that we have completed the Strawberry Hill Museum Investigation Report, each investigator has the chance to add his own conclusions about our investigation and the location.

MARK STINSON'S CONCLUSIONS

Let's get the big question and answer out of the way immediately. From a professional and scientific standpoint, can I assert that during our on-site investigation we found proof-positive of paranormal activity at the Strawberry Hill Museum? My answer would have to be, "No." In writing the investigation report, I've already offered my analysis of much of the specific evidence we gathered. So I'm going to take a more "generalized" approach in this summary.

The history and paranormal background of Strawberry Hill Museum are compelling and impressive. The building has areas that are beautiful and Victorian...and other areas that are dark and oppressive. We had an amazing time investigating there. By the end, we had a variety of experiences at the museum that made at least some of us consider paranormal causes, but nothing that we can hold up as scientific evidence or certain proof.

Our host at the museum, Francie Sachen, was worried that we might be disappointed that we did not have any clear-cut paranormal experiences during our investigation. But I told her that its important to keep in mind that paranormal activity happens around 1 to 5 times a year at the museum. How could we expect that the four randomly selected hours of our investigation would just happen to coincide with one of these relatively rare paranormal moments at the building?

I personally have no doubt that there is some truth behind the long tradition of paranormal experiences reported at the house. And I look forward to a 2nd on-site investigation at the Strawberry Hill Museum...

CHRIS STEVENS' CONCLUSIONS

The Strawberry Hill Museum is an example of why we do what we do. It was a joy to document the beautiful building and floor plan as well as the numerous ghost stories surrounding the old mansion.

Although we did not find proof-positive of paranormal activity, the experience and relationships have helped form who GVI really is.

I look forward to returning to the museum in the future.

STEWART BLACKWELL'S CONCLUSIONS

I have the privilege of being a bystander on this investigation. I feel like a member of a jury if you will, looking over the evidence and drawing my own conclusions. Truth is, I would have loved to go on this one but I joined the group the week after this investigation and missed out on all the fun.

From the evidence laid out in the website, a wonderful job I might add, it looks like many different techniques were used. I especially like the trigger objects; I mean who can resist the warm smile of a Care Bear. Evidently ghosts can. I am also very impressed at the way the so called “mist” was analyzed and reasoned. I am honestly not sure how many people would have taken the time to look for every possibility and not just assumed it was something paranormal. I’m going to spare everyone my rant on orbs. This brings us to our always wonderful and favorite topic, EVP’s. I’m not sure if our microphones are sensitive enough to pick up the voice of mouse (even though we expect them to pick of voices from the other side) so I think the squeak is just a squeak.

So after weighing all the evidence, I have decided to not come to a conclusion just yet. I do think that with the evidence shown, there was nothing paranormal that evening. There are too many stories and eyewitness accounts to make a decision after one night of uneventful investigating. A second investigation is needed to get a good read on the building. And besides, I want to go.
